Objectives

At Village Montessori School we are dedicated to the principles and philosophy of Dr. Maria Montessori, whose in-depth study of children and methods of education led her to a deep awareness of the dynamic importance of the first six years of a child’s life. These are the years during which character and intelligence are being formed.

The Montesssori philosophy is based on love for the child and respect for his dignity and worth as a person with the objective of helping each to develop to his fullest potential.

Characteristics we encourage are: a sense of order, freedom of choice within limits, increased curiosity, independence, persistence, ability to concentrate and self-confidence.
